Brenda Whelan Achievement Award
Matthew Higginson is the recipient of the first Brenda Whelan Achievement Award.
Brenda, who died last year, had been involved with our group for many, many years. A former chairman and a committee member, she had, since then, worked hard for SONG in many backstage roles until her death.
It was the current SONG Committee's wish to institute an award in her memory. This Award to be presented annually to a SONG member who has shown his/her commitment and support of the group - not only throughout the rehearsal progress and on stage but also assisted with our fundraising activities, and Matthew certainly fulfilled these criteria.
Matthew is pictured with Sally Bankes. Sally is a professional actress and longstanding supporter of our group and former chairman and committee member.
